About the Role
Join an early-stage legal technology team building AI-powered software for contract review and other legal workflows. As a founding product engineer, you will work closely with attorneys and AI engineers to turn real-world needs into reliable product features, while helping establish engineering practices as the team grows.
What You'll DoBuild and own full-stack product features, from data models and backend systems to interfaces used by attorneys and clients.
Partner with attorneys and AI engineers to translate legal workflows and review playbooks into production software.
Make pragmatic architecture and tooling decisions that support fast delivery and long-term maintainability.
Write reliable, maintainable code and take ownership of features through production deployment.
Help shape engineering standards, team culture, and hiring as the team expands.
Work directly with teammates to deliver a high-quality customer experience in a fast-moving environment.
1 to 3 years of experience building and shipping production software, ideally at an early-stage company or as a founder.

Hands-on experience building with AI or large language models, through professional work or personal projects.
Experience owning features end-to-end and making sound engineering trade-offs under time constraints.
Strong product instincts, communication, and judgment, with the ability to work through ambiguity and take ownership.

Salary range: $140,000 to $180,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
