Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant – GREENWICH, CT

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:45 AM–6:00 PM | 50 Guaranteed Hours/Week | Some Flexibility Required

About the Family

A warm family in Greenwich, CT is seeking an experienced, confident, and highly dependable Full-Time Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their 2-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son .

Their 2-year-old daughter, who turns 3 in December, is described as bright, silly, curious, and playful . She loves to learn, dance, play, and dress up, and especially enjoys having someone who will listen to her, teach her, and actively engage with her.

Their 1-year-old son is described as a sweet and happy little boy . He was born prematurely at 31 weeks and currently receives physical therapy at home once every two weeks to support his development. The family reports that his health is excellent and that he is developmentally on track.

The parents have demanding professional schedules. Mom is a physician and has some flexibility in her work, but certain weeks may include longer or unpredictable hours and occasional weekend work. Dad works long hours and travels frequently. The family is looking for someone who is very confident caring for two young children , genuinely enjoys playing with and teaching them, and values reliability and open communication .

The position also includes Family Assistant responsibilities , such as light family cooking, household organization, errands, driving, and basic pet care.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, attentive, and engaging care for a 2-year-old girl and 1-year-old boy
• Confidently manage the routines and needs of two young children
• Plan fun, educational, and developmentally appropriate activities
• Encourage learning through play, reading, music, dancing, conversation, and outings
• Support age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Maintain consistent routines for meals, naps, activities, and transitions
• Prepare light meals and snacks for the children
• Assist with light family cooking
• Keep children’s toys, clothing, closets, and belongings organized
• Assist with organizational projects, including closets, pantry, toys, and other household spaces
• Drive children to activities, appointments, classes, and outings
• Complete family errands as needed
• Assist with Family Assistant responsibilities to help the household run smoothly
• Provide basic pet care, including feeding, walking, and occasional veterinary appointments
• Communicate openly and consistently with the parents
• Provide flexibility for occasional early mornings or late evenings
• Provide occasional weekend or overnight coverage as needed or pre-arranged

Ideal Candidate

• Several years of professional nanny experience
• Strong infant and toddler experience required
• Confident caring for two young children simultaneously
• Knowledgeable about infant and toddler development
• Warm, playful, engaging, and genuinely enjoys teaching young children
• Creative and able to plan age-appropriate activities
• Highly reliable with excellent communication skills
• Organized, proactive, responsible, and flexible
• Comfortable working with parents who have demanding and occasionally unpredictable schedules
• CPR/First Aid certified
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Comfortable preparing children’s meals and light family meals
• Comfortable completing family errands and organizational projects
• Comfortable with a small dog and basic pet care
• High School Diploma/GED or some college
• Professional, trustworthy, and interested in a long-term position

• Two children: 2-year-old girl and 1-year-old boy
• Monday–Friday, approximately 7:45 AM–6:00 PM
• 50 guaranteed hours per week
• Schedule may vary slightly week to week
• Some days may start later or end earlier
• Occasional early mornings and late evenings
• Occasional weekends and overnights as needed
• Live-In or Live-Out
• Private accommodations available for a live-in candidate: walk-out basement with a private bedroom and full bathroom
• Driving required
• Family vehicle will be provided when applicable; candidate may also need to use their own vehicle
• One 14-lb mini Goldendoodle
• Both parents work from home part-time at times
• Approximately 2,000 sq. ft. home
