Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized critical care to severely ill patients in the intensive care unit, closely monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, performing advanced procedures, and responding swiftly to emergencies. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and execute individualized treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients' vital signs and clinical status.
• Administer medications and perform complex procedures in accordance with medical standards.
• Respond rapidly to medical emergencies, including code blues and rapid response situations.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to update and implement patient treatment plans.
• Document patient care activities accurately and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Float to accommodate different units, including med-surg patients and hold management as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting.
• Hold active and valid state RN license.
• Obtain and maintain current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
• Demonstrate strong critical care skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
