Location:
This is a fully remote position. Candidates may be located anywhere, with South Carolina and the Charlotte, NC area preferred. Occasional in-person closings or client meetings may be required.
Note :
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina and have at least 2 years of residential real estate/title law experience with the ability to independently manage transactions.

Job Description
- Review and examine residential real estate titles from initial search through closing.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve title defects and curative issues.
- Prepare preliminary and final title opinions.
- Draft and review deeds, affidavits, powers of attorney, estate documents, releases, and other legal instruments.
- Advise clients, lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and internal team members on title-related legal matters.
- Review restrictive covenants, HOA documents, recorded instruments, and underwriting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable state laws and title insurance guidelines.
- Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and exceptional client service.
- Sign Final Title Opinions and other required attorney certifications.
- Collaborate closely with processors, paralegals, and closing attorneys to move transactions efficiently through closing.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active South Carolina Bar license required.
- 2+ years of residential real estate/title law experience.
- Experience handling title review, title opinions, and curative matters.
- Currently or previously approved by multiple title insurance companies preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and client service skills.
- Notary Public or willingness to obtain before starting.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
