Physical Therapist (PT) | Acute Care | South Austin Medical Center | Days
Position Details
• Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
• Location: South Austin Medical Center
• Department: Rehabilitation Services
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Shift: Days, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Call Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month with compensatory days off during the week
Facility & Unit Information
• 364-bed acute care hospital
• Rehab Office located on 5 Central
• Team of 18 rehabilitation professionals
• Approximately 10–12 PTs scheduled weekdays and 6–8 PTs on weekends
• EMR: Meditech
Required Qualifications
• Active Physical Therapist License
• BLS Certification
• Acute Care Physical Therapy experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Trauma experience
• Vestibular rehabilitation experience
Primary Responsibilities
• Perform patient evaluations
• Develop discharge recommendations
• Provide treatment interventions to achieve established goals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams throughout the hospital
