HR Generalist | Contract Opportunity

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and adaptable HR Generalist to join their team on a contract basis. This role will support a variety of human resources functions, including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, recruitment support, benefits administration, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes
• Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and compliant
• Respond to employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures
• Assist with recruiting activities, interview scheduling, and candidate communications
• Support benefits enrollment and leave administration
• Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies
• Prepare HR reports and assist with audits as needed
• Partner with managers and employees to support day-to-day HR initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in Human Resources, preferably in a Generalist role
• Strong understanding of HR practices and employment compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
