Director of Southampton Operations Job Number: 2601361 | Department: School of Health Professions - Office of the Dean (Southampton) | Location: Southampton, NY Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) Four (4) years of progressive full‑time operational management, project management, and administrative experience Supervisory experience Experience with budget oversight Experience using computer software such as Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, 25Live, and/or Wolfmart Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher) Five (5) or more years of full‑time operational management, project management, and administrative experience Experience working in higher education Event‑planning experience Experience acting as a primary liaison or representative for executive leadership Brief Description of Duties The Director of Southampton Operations is a key member of the School of Health Professions (SHP) Dean’s Office and serves as the Dean’s primary representative for all SHP activities on the Southampton campus. This role oversees and coordinates all operational functions specific to SHP at Southampton, addressing campus‑specific goals, needs, and challenges. The Director also serves as the main liaison between SHP, its academic departments, and various administrative and operational units on the Southampton campus. Duties General Administration Provide administrative oversight of faculty, staff, projects, budgets, scheduling, facilities, and procurement for SHP at the Southampton campus Serve as on‑site administrative point of contact for school‑related issues on the Southampton campus Represent the Dean and SHP in Southampton campus initiatives Serve as Dean’s primary contact for SH inquiries Coordinate with the Dean’s Office to facilitate onboarding of new faculty/staff at Southampton campus Represent admissions and recruitment events at the Southampton campus Project Management & Facilities Manage special projects as assigned Lead planning for SHP events, including admissions interviews, on the Southampton campus Oversee SHP renovation and space‑related projects on the Southampton campus Coordinate SHP building services with Facilities, Campus Police, Security, IT, and others on the Southampton campus Communications & Collaboration Serve as liaison between SHP at Southampton and campus departments Coordinate campus‑wide initiatives in collaboration with SHP leadership on programming and strategic initiatives Coordinate campus‑wide initiatives with SH programs Coordinate with Student Life and other campus offices to support SHP student needs Coordinate university transportation for SHP programs Collaborate with the Office of the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for the Southampton Campus Academic Services Manage marketing/communications for SHP at Southampton Identify, coordinate, and elevate SHP student service needs at the Southampton campus and recommend operational improvements Oversee SH commencement and support SB commencement Oversee SH student orientation Staff Supervision Oversee deployment of SHP Dean’s Suite support staff at the Southampton campus Other duties or projects as assigned, as appropriate to rank and departmental mission Compensation This is a full‑time appointment. The position is FLSA exempt and requires a minimum salary threshold to maintain exemption. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for $4,000 annual UUP location pay, paid biweekly. Evening and weekend work is required at times. Eligibility Work‑visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
