Overview: 
We are looking for an adaptable candidate with previous bartending/food service experience and great customer service skills to join our team here at Atwell Suites KCI!

Schedule (may vary):

• Evening shift, 5pm-11pm 
• Sundays & Mondays needed
• Part-Time
• Flexible weekday/weekend availability is a bonus!
• Holidays, as needed

Primary Bartending Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use great customer service skills by greeting guests pleasantly as they approach the bar, taking and preparing their orders promptly, and creating an overall friendly interaction.  
• Prepare beverages as requested using established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs. 
• Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures.
• Check guest identification in accordance with federal law.
• Follow established Hotel safety protocols and procedures at all times; immediately report any safety/service incident to the supervisor or manager on duty.
• Set up the bar accurately and efficiently with all liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and supplies. 
• Ensure that all liquor is properly secured before, during, and after every shift.

Primary Cook Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking; check the quality of ingredients prior to use.
• Cook food with various utensils or grillers; check food while cooking to stir or turn.
• Follow proper procedures in handling food to ensure health and sanitation guidelines are met.
• Assist in unloading trucks that arrive with supplies; store and rotate inventory.
• Clean work area, freezers, kitchen area, and dish area to ensure proper cleanliness is maintained; keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
• Demonstrate a professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with visitors, vendors, and associates.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in a similar bartending, food service, kitchen, and/or line cook role is preferred.
• Some experience in a customer service role is preferred.
• Must be 21 years or older!

Pay: $17.00/hour, plus tips
