Physical Therapy TechnicianIf you're exploring a career in healthcare and want hands-on experience helping people move and feel better, Utah Physical Therapy is looking for a dependable, energetic Physical Therapy Technician who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.In this role, you'll work alongside licensed Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants, supporting patient care while helping create a positive, safe, and encouraging experience for every patient who walks through our doors.Location: South Ogden, UT Pay: $13.00/hour Schedule: This is a part-time position with varying shifts based on clinic needs.What You'll DoAssist patients with prescribed exercises and therapeutic activities under the direction of a Physical Therapist.Set up and apply therapy modalities, including heat/cold packs, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and other treatments as directed.Monitor patient safety during exercises and communicate patient progress or concerns to the therapist.Greet patients, assist with check-in, and obtain vital signs and pain scores for therapist evaluation.Prepare treatment areas before and after appointments, ensuring equipment is clean, organized, safe, and ready for use.Help guide patients safely and accurately through exercise programs and therapeutic procedures.Educate patients on proper exercise techniques, posture, equipment use, and home exercise instructions as directed.Fit patients with orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices while providing basic usage instructions.Maintain patient safety by assisting with transfers, gait belt use, parking escorts, and other safety procedures.Maintain clinic equipment, treatment tables, and therapy tools by cleaning, organizing, and restocking supplies.Conduct inventory counts of clinical supplies and coordinate restocking with the Clinic Director.Assist therapists with documentation, patient flow sheets, scheduling, and other clerical responsibilities.Support front office operations by answering phones, filing paperwork, and assisting with insurance verification when needed.Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, clinic policies, and infection control standards.Help maintain a clean, organized, professional clinic environment and assist with facility upkeep as needed.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Physical Therapist.What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or GED required.Interest in pursuing a career in healthcare, physical therapy, athletic training, or a related medical field is preferred.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.Basic knowledge of anatomy, exercise, rehabilitation, or previous healthcare experience is preferred.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.High level of energy, flexibility, and self-motivation.Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong work ethic.Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain patient confidentiality.Physical RequirementsActive position requiring standing, walking, bending, reaching, and assisting patients throughout the day.Ability to demonstrate exercises and assist patients during treatment sessions.Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.Ability to assist with patient transfers and safely move therapeutic equipment.Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements while setting up equipment and assisting with treatments.Why Join Utah Physical Therapy?This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on clinical experience while working alongside experienced Physical Therapists in a supportive team environment.
