Pharma Field Sales - Rare Blood Therapy Manager - Florida - Puerto Rico Location: Miami, FL, US About the Department The Rare Disease organization leads all U.S. commercial efforts for Novo Nordisk’s Rare Disease portfolio, including medical treatments, customer solutions, and devices across multiple therapy areas such as rare bleeding disorders, rare endocrine disorders, rare renal disorders, and hemoglobinopathies (Sickle Cell Disease & Beta Thalassemia). The team collaborates with clinical development, research & early development, and global headquarters to achieve patient care goals and financial objectives. The Position Represents Novo Nordisk, Inc. (NNI) to targeted accounts and thought leaders in an assigned territory, with the goal of maximizing sales and establishing NNI as a leader in the hemophilia marketplace. The Rare Blood Therapy Manager (RBTM) is responsible for achieving sales objectives by implementing approved marketing and local sales strategies to promote NNI’s hemophilia products to physicians, nurses, home care companies, social workers, pharmacies, hemophilia/hematology organizations, and other relevant paramedical customers. Relationships Externally, the RBTM maintains relationships with physicians, nurses, home care companies, pharmacies, and other paramedical customers. Internally, the RBTM reports to the Regional Director – Rare Blood and works with other representatives, medical liaisons, STARS Account Managers, and various NNI departments. Essential Functions Drive sales, seek wins, and achieve outcomes that exceed goals; influence behavior change with healthcare professionals (HCPs) Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders both in-person and virtually Develop business‑relevant relationships with key external stakeholders Demonstrate emotional intelligence, account centricity, and business ownership to gain trusted advisor status with customers Engage customers through two‑way dialogue and active listening to uncover needs Identify opportunities, challenge patient‑management approaches, and share new information and unique insights Coordinate with field and home office colleagues to leverage provider relationships across the entire geography Identify key customer insights, anticipate local healthcare market trends, and apply a strategic mindset Use business acumen and analytical skills to advance the business and deliver exceptional results; create, adapt, and execute business plans based on territory needs Leverage understanding of the local healthcare ecosystem to maximize performance Lead initiatives that consistently drive results across the full geography Work with an entrepreneurial mindset and sense of urgency to achieve outcomes and exceed goals Balance time across multiple priorities to ensure both short‑term success and future growth Utilize project management skills to execute local initiatives Organize work to maximize impact Model the Novo Nordisk Way through ethical and compliant behaviors and actions Physical Requirements 50–75% overnight travel required. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with Novo Nordisk’s driving safety standards. Qualifications Minimum five (5) years of pharmaceutical or healthcare sales (Rare Disease experience preferred) or five (5) years of relevant Rare Disease experience, with at least two (2) years in pharmaceutical sales Fluency in Spanish preferred Expert knowledge of the hemophilia market preferred Ability to facilitate trust and understanding Strong technical and scientific communication skills Decision‑making and leadership skills required Self‑starter who can evaluate options, make decisions, and operate with minimal supervision Experience with sales data/call reporting software preferred We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
