Sr. Division Order Analyst

Sr. Division Order AnalystThis senior level position reviews and processes land documents in order to handle owner inquiries and discrepancies as well as process transfer of interest between third parties based on title documents.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Review and analyze agreements, assignments, pooling orders, farmouts, AMI's, survey plats, payments, leases, contracts, ownership reports and various title documentsRespond to owner inquiries (email, written, phone); research and resolution of ownership issues and interest discrepanciesMaintain log of ownership transfersPrepare Division Orders and burden spreadsheets (includes analysis of agreements, poolings, AMI's, etc.)Perform calculations of owner interest, leasehold and unit interests, and review title curativePrepare burden spreadsheets, analyze title requirements, resolve decimal discrepancies, and cure title defectsInterface with owners, partners, attorneys, Revenue & JIB Accounting, Owner Relations group, and purchasers in obtaining or providing data and/or explanationsPrepare deal sheets and performs calculations of interest for all owners in new wellsResolve the more difficult owner and decimal discrepancies and authorizes decimal revisions, suspense and release of suspenseCalculate interests pertaining to workovers, recompletions and payouts and performs deck editsPerform other duties as assignedJob Specific Skills:Advanced knowledge of oil and gas vocabulary as it pertains to division ordersAdvanced ability to read and understand non-standard legal descriptions for a tract of land and interpret land title informationAdvanced knowledge of oil and gas leases, deeds, and title curative documentsAdvanced knowledge of lease provisions and their implications to lease recordsAdvanced knowledge of the different types of special obligations and paymentsProficient math skills and ability to perform non-standard division order calculationsEducation:Minimum: High school diploma or GEDPreferred: Bachelor's degree - from accredited universityExperience: Minimum: 5 years related work experienceExpand Energy takes necessary action to ensure that all applicants are treated without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, disability, pregnancy, military or veteran status or any other protected characteristic as established by law.
