Active FL or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience in the operating room specialty

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)

CNOR certification preferred

Robotics, orthopedic, and urology surgical experience required

Experience in other surgical specialties preferred, excluding eyes, hearts, thoracic, and vascular procedures

Two manager or supervisor references required, verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring robotics, ortho, and urology experience along with regular call coverage.

Details

Operating room setting performing scrubbing and/or circulating duties for operative procedures

4x10-hour shifts, 0630-1700, with varying days off based on OR needs and call schedule

Call required 4-5 times per month, including at least one weekend day, with 24-hour call shifts from 1700-0630 and a 30-minute callback time

Day off typically follows a call shift when possible, otherwise determined by departmental need

Requirements

Responsible for scrubbing and circulating duties, patient admission to the operative suite, and adherence to aseptic technique standards

Collaborates with the surgical team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care plans

Serves as a communication liaison between patients, families, and the surgical team

Prepares the operating room, assembles equipment and supplies, and ensures all instruments and implants are functional and available

Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
