Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to medical patients requiring close monitoring and treatment. This position requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including cardiac drips and insulin drips.
• Monitor patient vitals and manage patients recovering from cardiac procedures.
• Perform EKGs and intravenous insertions as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Provide telemetry monitoring and respond to alarms.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a telemetry or acute care setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• NIHSS certification is required prior to start date.
• Completed onboarding with EPIC electronic medical record system experience within the past 2 years.
• New York RN license, or proof of application for licensure, is required.
