Details Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment Night shift schedule from 1:00PM-1:00AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week) Two call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with expectation to be onsite within one hour of call Mandatory 2-week nights rotation required of all travelers No block scheduling available Every other weekend shift required Holiday coverage required on a rotational basis Uses Epic EMR system Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing required Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association) Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required ASN required, BSN preferred Trauma Level 2 or higher experience required Epic EMR charting experience required TNCC certification preferred Additional Information Provide comprehensive nursing care to ED patients including assessment, care planning, and implementation of interventions Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to develop and modify individualized care plans Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation Contribute to a safe care environment by identifying and reporting safety hazards Work within a high-risk department classification Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position RTO limited to no more than 7 total days during the 13-week contract Not eligible for candidates who have been on assignment at this health system continuously for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service American Traveler Job ID P-741957.
