Contract Details:

Note: MDHS requires a fingerprint background screening as part of the onboarding process. The ideal candidate should currently be employed and not seeking an immediate start, as the fingerprinting process may take time.

Position Description:

The Business Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for systems supporting various human services programs, including:

• Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

• Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)

• Child Support Services

• Child Welfare

• Other related programs

The contractor will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting the implementation of technology solutions aligned with program requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 20 years of experience in business analysis roles

• Deep knowledge and expertise in human services systems (SNAP, TANF, Child Support, Child Welfare)

• Prior experience working within Mississippi state government or similar environments is strongly preferred

• Proven ability to function as a subject matter expert across multiple programs and systems

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience

• Experience with enterprise application environments such as WebLogic

• Familiarity with public sector processes and regulatory requirements
