Senior Associate Scientist, Viral Vaccines

Senior Associate Scientist supporting viral vaccine development at Pfizer's Pearl River facility. Responsible for generating and characterizing viral reagents (RSV, EBV, HCMV) to enable pre-clinical vaccine research, including cell culture maintenance, viral stock optimization, and immunoassay support.
Responsibilities
- Produce and optimize high-titer viral stocks for RSV, EBV, and HCMV research programs
- Maintain mammalian cell lines and perform viral characterization assays
- Conduct immune response monitoring assays and document bio-functional testing thoroughly
- Generate plasmid constructs and reverse genetic virus stocks for RNA vaccine optimization
- Manage viral reagent inventory and coordinate distribution across vaccine research teams
Requirements
- BA/BS with 3+ years experience or MS/MBA with any years experience
- Hands-on mammalian cell culture and cell-based assay expertise
- Proficiency in quantitative-PCR, molecular biology, western blotting, and biochemical assays
- Strong experimental design and data interpretation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Competency with data analysis software and standard office applications
Compensation: $68,600–$114,300 base salary plus 7.5% bonus target
