Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – MarylandStart Date: October 19, 2026
Location: Hagerstown, Maryland
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Four 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend required, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, 36 guaranteed hours per week, willingness to float to IMC as needed
Highlights:
- Intensive care unit specializing in trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neurological patient populations
- 24-bed unit with daily census of 18 patients and comprehensive interdisciplinary support
- Epic charting system required; 24-hour orientation provided
- Advanced procedures including CRRT, intra-aortic balloon pump, and intraventricular drains
- 13-week contract with one pre-approved time-off request available
- Local candidates accepted with adjusted compensation; pending licensure considered
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Maryland or pending approval
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; 3+ years preferred
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in critical care settings
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Community hospital and trauma experience (Level I or II) preferred
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
- Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, vasoactive medication titration, and post-surgical care
