Maintenance Specialist

Maintenance Specialist
The Maintenance Specialist is responsible to help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times. Duties include performing a variety of building and grounds activities, including snow removal, associated with facilities maintenance. In addition, the incumbent will fill in as a substitute head custodian when directed.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in building and grounds maintenance.
- Experience operating grounds/athletic fields maintenance equipment, snow removal equipment, and power tools.
- Knowledge of maintenance and construction activities, with the ability to apply practical math skills.
- Ability to take varied direction and work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting involved with moving furniture and equipment around the district.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current PA Act 34 (Criminal Record), Act 151 (Child Abuse), and FBI Fingerprint clearances.
