Assistant Controller /Senior Fund Accountant

\nFirm: >20b in PE Fund in Midtown, HYBRID
\nCompensation: Up to 300k TOTAL COMPENSATION (including bonus) depending on years of experience
\nTitle: VP Controller or AVP Assistant Controller depending on years of experience
\nBase: 135-210k base
\nBonus: 25-50%
\n \nA NYC based Private Equity Firm (Closed and Open ended funds) is looking to bring on an Controller OR Assistant Controller to join their team!
\n \nThe ideal profile is for a candidate with 4-12+ years of experience from either a public accounting firm or from another PE of Hedge Fund.
\n \nThe firm has been a great track record and name in the industry while employing over 100 people. They have a multi-strategy approach doing credit as well as traditional PE and some Venture Capital . The successful candidate will have an opportunity to have exposure to all.
\n \n-Responsible for month end close and accuracy of fund accounting, reporting, analysis and special projects, including developing a comprehensive understanding of products traded and processes utilized.
\n \n-Oversee business valuations for illiquid portfolio company investments using multiple valuation techniques and update quarterly and annual valuation memos
\n \n-Managed entire accounting process for two investment vehicles, including coordination of the month-end close process, daily and weekly estimate PnL reporting to front office
\n \n-Take part in investor relations including reports and occasionally dealing with the investors directly as needed
\n \n-Monitor illiquid investment valuation models
\n \n- Assist deal teams on technical accounting reviews and legal diligence of current transactions and acquisitions in pipeline
\n \n-Prepare capital call analysis
\n \n-Work directly with portfolio company CFOs on finance matters
\n \n-Create automation and work with IT and Consultants on automation
\n \nCompensation will be commensurate with experience
\n \nProfile:
\n \nIdeal profile with be someone who is a Senior Associate or Manager from public or someone with 4+ years of experience from a hedge, private equity, mutual, VC, BDC or other fund (including admins)
\n \nBase up to 200 Bonus up to 25%-50% of base depending on years of experience
