Senior Fund Accountant (accounting/FP&A)

Job Description

Coda Search is partnering wtih a $100BN Asset Management firm with offices located in NYC. This is a world class fund that is seeking to hire a Senior Associate / Vice President to join the CAO Office. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role offering exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to work across financial reporting, technical accounting, SEC reporting, financial analysis, and strategic process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial results and key performance metrics to support senior leadership decision-making
\n
• Assist in variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives
\n
• Develop insights into firm performance and profitability driver
\n
• Support the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
\n
• Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards and guidance
\n
• Identify and implement process improvements across reporting and accounting workflows
\n
• Partner with Finance, Technology, and Operations teams on cross-functional projects
\n
• Support ad hoc strategic projects for the CAO and CFO offices
\n
• Help standardize best practices across accounting and reporting functions
\n

Qualifications

\n
• 4+ years of relevant experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or industry (asset management, financial services)
\n
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
\n
• CPA designation (or actively pursuing) preferred
\n
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
\n
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
