Sea Mar Community Health Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1978, serves diverse communities in Washington State with more than 90 clinics offering medical, dental, behavioral health, and other services. We are recruiting a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, grant tracking, and month‑end close activities. This position requires mandatory COVID‑19 and flu vaccination. Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial statements, including journal entries, supporting schedules, and financial statement analysis. Prepare and review journal entries with detailed support and explanations for all entries. Complete bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations accurately and on time. Prepare reports for assigned agencies—grantor agencies, Medicaid, and Medicare. Maintain information supporting the allocation of overhead expense and allocate overhead for internal and external reporting. Assist with general accounting functions such as payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, including preparation of payroll tax returns and vendor invoice analysis. Assist the accounting team in the annual financial audit by preparing audit schedules. Assist with the preparation of cost reports, grant budgets, and Financial Status Reports (FSRs) based on general ledger information. Utilize Workday Financial Management software for general ledger activity, reconciliations, reporting, grants/projects, allocations, and financial analysis. Identify accounting discrepancies and assist in resolving accounting and system‑related issues. Assist and train staff accountants. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Controller or Chief Financial Officer. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited four‑year college with a degree in business or accounting. Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience as a GL or financial statement accountant. CPA certification preferred. Familiarity with Workday accounting software and PC spreadsheets. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. Benefits Annual salary of $85,000.00 USD (approximately $40.86 per hour).
