American Girl Franklin Location Party Planner- Part Time

Overview Part‑time Party Planner position with the American Girl Retail Team at Mattel’s Bistro. Responsible for delivering a premier party experience for guests, handling all aspects of event execution—from guest communication to service and cleanup—while maintaining American Girl standards. Responsibilities Deliver timely steps of party execution, including pre‑event communication, creating a pleasant ambiance, greeting and seating guests, handling food and beverage orders, upselling, bussing and resetting tables, daily cleanup, and restocking. Meet sales goals and budgetary guidelines, and coordinate with external vendors to place product orders promptly. Ensure customer satisfaction by providing an exceptional party experience and resolving service issues in a gracious manner. Execute events to AG standards, including games, crafts, hair styling and doll skin‑care. Maintain ongoing communications with staff, management, and the Retail Sales & Services department. Follow local and state health sanitation laws and adhere to food and workplace safety guidelines. Assign and complete daily tasks and side‑work assignments for front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house areas. Use the InfoGenesis system to complete transactions in accordance with company policy. Take initiative to train, teach, and assist teammates across various restaurant areas. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; undergraduate education preferred. Minimum six months of experience in customer relations, parties, or events. One to two years of experience in a high‑volume, fine‑casual dining or related restaurant is preferred. Experience working with children is preferred. Current ServeSafe certification is preferred. Strong verbal and communication skills are required. Enjoy public speaking, work with children, and possess a warm and friendly demeanor. Ability to perform diverse physical tasks, including heavy lifting (30–50 pounds), transporting full trays and bus tubs, standing and walking for long periods, and working in a loud environment. Flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
