Summary/Objective: Using established practices this role is responsible for supporting fraud prevention and detection systems, investigating, and responding to fraud by analyzing risk factors, determining overall risk, providing staff and member support, and following established remediation workflows. The Fraud Investigation Analyst is also responsible for analyzing, measuring, and monitoring fraud patterns and trends to inform Enterprise Risk leadership of emerging threats. Essential Functions include: Monitors, analyzes, investigates, and responds to alerts for transactional fraud and AML violations, deposit fraud, ACH fraud, check fraud, Wire fraud, New Account fraud, debit and credit card fraud and Application fraud. Works with merchants, processor, network representatives and vendors to investigate and resolve fraudulent activity. Analyzes CAMS notifications for risk factors and recommends response activities including card reissuance. Provides high level support to Credit Union employees and members by managing remediation workflows. Completes police reporting and fraud investigation reporting. Collaborates with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Provides investigation and response support for all escalated fraud events. Supports the operational functionality of the Enterprise Fraud Management fraud prevention tools and systems. Conducts research and analysis of fraud reporting to identify emerging threats and recommends investigations into concerning trends, patterns, and escalated fraud events. Prepares and monitors various reports. Recommends changes to the control environment and fraud prevention strategies based on performance results. Participates in the development of processes and procedures. Reports to: Manager Fraud and Card Operations Manages: This role does not have supervisory responsibility Required Education and Experience: Minimum 2 years of progressive financial institution operations and/or fraud management experience. Proficient and knowledgeable regarding payment transactions including but not limited to wire transfers, negotiable instruments, shared branching and ACH. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree Work Environment: Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smart phone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment. Physical Requirements: Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs of force infrequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full time 40 hours per week Days of work: Monday – Friday and on call on Saturdays as needed Classification: Exempt Compensation: The person hired into this position will likely earn between $59,457 and $74,321 annual salary, plus annual bonus. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.
