Assistant Teaching Professor, Department of Mathematics, Temporary Job No: 499734 | Work type: Temporary Full-Time | Location: Glassboro, New Jersey | Category: Faculty – College of Science and Mathematics Position Summary The Department of Mathematics at Rowan University seeks one or more Full-Time Temporary Assistant Teaching Professors in Mathematical Sciences or closely related fields. The appointment is a 10‑month position with a potential guarantee of up to 2 years and includes benefits. Successful candidates will teach a total of 24 credits over two semesters, with options for overload and summer classes for additional compensation. Qualifications Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences or a related discipline (candidates with a Master’s degree will be considered). Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence. Experience or potential in service activities to the university and the profession. Commitment to building a culturally diverse faculty; applications from women and underrepresented groups are particularly encouraged. Responsibilities Teach 24 undergraduate credits over two semesters (10‑month appointment), with options for overload and summer instruction.
