Job Full Description DME Billing Specialist Schedule: Full-Time Pay: $27-$32+ DOE Job Summary We are seeking an experienced DME Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing experience, preferably within the respiratory DME industry. This position is responsible for managing claims, billing processes, payment follow-up, and ensuring accurate reimbursement from insurance providers. Candidates must have direct DME billing experience. Applicants with only dental billing or general medical billing experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and submit DME claims accurately and timely
- Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and authorizations
- Monitor claim status and resolve billing issues
- Follow up on denied, rejected, and unpaid claims
- Maintain accurate patient and billing records
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with billing requirements
- Communicate with patients, providers, and insurance companies regarding billing matters
- Identify and implement solutions to improve reimbursement and billing efficiency
- Previous Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing experience required
- Respiratory DME billing experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience using BrightTree billing software highly preferred
- Strong understanding of insurance claims, reimbursement processes, and billing regulations
- Experience working with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
