Grease and Oil Systems: Oil/water separators, used cooking oil tanks. Job Duties As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at a local Walmart retail store, your role will involve executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Operating under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, you will: Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets utilizing multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs. Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and support Stores and Store associates, documenting repair activities. Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely. Minimum Qualifications Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located. Valid state‑issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report. Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Preferred Qualifications Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. Mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
