Certified Tumor Registrar

To support cancer registry operations remotely, the part-time Certified Tumor Registrar will ensure compliance with facility needs and State and Commission on Cancer requirements while collaborating with the Senior Cancer Registrar. Key responsibilities Comply with cancer registry operations as directed by the Senior Cancer Registrar Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and tumor registry coding principles Adhere to institutional confidentiality guidelines while managing cancer data Required qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification through the NCRA Minimum of 3 years relevant healthcare experience with an Associate's degree or coding program certificate Extensive knowledge of ACoS and COC accreditation standards Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and cancer registry systems
