About the Role Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and warehouses to support business intelligence products, ML models, cloud‑based web applications, marketing, and coaching services. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure high‑quality data is accessible across the organization. Build a modern data ecosystem in a mission‑driven organization. What You’ll Do Develop and maintain scalable, high‑performance data pipelines to ingest and process large volumes of student and institutional data. Design and optimize data models in data warehouses to power business intelligence products, ML models, cloud‑based web applications, marketing, and coaching services. Implement validation, testing, and monitoring frameworks to ensure data quality. Improve performance, reliability, and automation of data workflows. Monitor and troubleshoot production data systems to ensure reliability and uptime. Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable data solutions. Create and maintain clear documentation for data pipelines, models, and processes. Qualifications 2+ years of data engineering experience. Strong proficiency in SQL and Python. Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS and data warehouses such as Redshift or Snowflake. Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow. Solid understanding of relational and non‑relational database design. Experience with Git and CI/CD best practices. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills. Nice to have: familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau or CRM platforms such as Salesforce; exposure to predictive analytics or machine learning workflows; experience with Agile engineering practices; experience in higher education, education technology, and/or a startup. Benefits & Compensation Base Salary: $115,000–$125,000 commensurate with experience. Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees. We pay 100% of the employee’s premium and 50% of any dependents’ premiums. Contribute up to $1,000 to employee HSA / $2,000 to employee + dependent HSA. FSA available.
