Details Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital Night shift, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-7:00) Floating between units required Every other weekend required No on-call responsibilities Patient ratio of 1:4-5 Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required Prior neuro RN experience required, including comfort with the NIH Stroke Scale and post-surgical neuro patient care Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management Experience with chest tube management (Emerson/PleurEvac) Experience caring for craniotomy, CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury patients Cardiac monitoring experience including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Must disclose any prior employment history with the health system, including permanent, travel, or per-diem work Additional Information Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, part of a teaching hospital with 629 staffed beds Scrubs may be any color for RNs Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Candidates residing within 50 miles may be accepted at a lower bill rate Minimal RTO requests are preferred and should be submitted upfront American Traveler Job ID P-746907.
