Litigation Attorney

SUMMARY Our client, a mid-size law firm, is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 5+ years of federal civil litigation experience, including copyright matters. The role involves managing an independent caseload with exposure to IP disputes including patents, trademarks, and copyrights in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of federal civil litigation experience (mandatory/preferred depending on firm standards) - Prior experience handling copyright litigation cases strongly preferred - Active state bar license (must be specified in application) - Strong experience managing an independent litigation caseload - Familiarity with federal court procedures and IP litigation workflows - Proficiency in legal research tools (Westlaw) RESPONSIBILITIES - Conduct advanced legal research on intellectual property law using Westlaw and other legal databases - Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents - Manage full-cycle IP litigation matters including discovery and motion practice - Advise clients on IP issues including copyrights, trademarks, and patents - Negotiate settlements and resolve intellectual property disputes - Collaborate with attorneys to develop litigation and IP protection strategies SKILLS REQUIRED - Federal civil litigation and courtroom procedure expertise - Strong legal writing and motion drafting skills - Discovery management (interrogatories, depositions, requests for production) - Negotiation and dispute resolution skills - Ability to independently manage caseloads - Strong analytical and research capabilities BENEFITS - Health insurance - Dental insurance - Vision insurance - 401(k) - Paid time off
