Payroll Specialist

The Tom Wood Group, in Indianapolis, Indiana is currently searching for a Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of payroll processes and regulations. They will excel at maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance, and providing exceptional support to employees. Responsibilities: * Process biweekly payroll & supplemental payrolls for more than 1,000 employees * Process all payroll reporting after each transmittal * Send out biweekly and supplemental payroll reports for various store locations * Follow up with management teams on time & attendance functions as well as time off approvals on a weekly basis * Administer garnishments and child support administration * ADP reporting functions for Executive management, GM, Office Managers, and others * Verification on new hire information in ADP system * New hire reporting to applicable states * Handle termination paperwork and maintain terminated employee files * Other payroll duties as assigned Qualifications: * Previous payroll experience – preferred experience with ADP Workforce Now. * Associates/undergraduate degree in HR, Business, Accounting or equivalent work experience in payroll area. * Ability to partner across organizations including Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, Senior Managers, and Employees. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. * A high level of confidentiality/discretion required. * MUST have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
