Job Information Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Job Location: EZ Loader Spokane - Spokane, WA 99202 Position Type: Full Time Salary: $63,500.00 - $73,000.00 Job Summary The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing and performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production facility equipment. This role plans repair activities, develops maintenance procedures, supports preventive and predictive maintenance practices, and helps ensure facility equipment and processes support EZ Loader’s business goals and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and lead maintenance processes and operations. Track maintenance expenses and assist with oversight of the maintenance budget. Plan and manage repair, installation, and preventive maintenance activities for EZ Loader equipment and facilities. Assign repair schedules and evaluate repair cost estimates. Document work performed and prepare daily progress reports and maintenance logs. Oversee equipment stock and place orders for supplies when necessary. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machines and facility equipment. Create and follow preventive maintenance schedules. Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs during production periods and scheduled maintenance repairs during downtime. Perform mechanic duties including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair work. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to complete required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment, and make adjustments. Perform plumbing maintenance, carpentry functions, and simple machinist duties as needed. Use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely and appropriately. Identify faulty operations, defective materials, or unusual situations and report concerns to proper supervision. Ensure department employees follow safety policies and procedures. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas. Additional Responsibilities Support organizational objectives and customer commitments as needed. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent combination of education and production maintenance experience. 4+ years of manufacturing experience preferred. Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial maintenance skills required. PLC and HVAC experience preferred. Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred but not required. Boiler experience or Quick Recovery Flat Flame Furnace experience preferred but not required. Computer literacy and proficiency in written and verbal communication required. Communication Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and employees of the organization. Mathematical and Technical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. Ability to read and use measuring tools, including tape measures. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment safely and effectively. Problem-Solving and Reasoning Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions. Ability to identify problems and apply practical solutions in standardized situations. Ability to diagnose equipment issues, determine appropriate repairs, and make necessary adjustments. Other Requirements Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and department/plant safety goals. Ability to lead and participate in a team-oriented environment while assisting and training others. Willingness to learn and apply continuous improvement techniques. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and adjusted schedules as operationally required. Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Physical Demands Regularly required to sit or stand and frequently walk. Frequent use of hands for handling, reaching, operating equipment, and performing repair work. Frequently required to talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts.
