Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote and leverages telehealth technologies to connect with clients. The telehealth environment allows for flexible scheduling and the ability to reach a broad array of clients, particularly those who may have difficulty accessing traditional in-person services. You will be part of a dedicated team, engaging in regular digital meetings to ensure continuity of care and support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients suffering from mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews to gauge symptom severity.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with each client, setting specific goals and incorporating feedback to ensure their needs and preferences are met.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, primarily focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adjusting techniques based on individual patient responses and progress.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, providing them with information about available treatment options as well as self-care strategies to enhance their well-being.

• Regularly monitor and document client progress, utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems to track improvements and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care, participating in case consultations to formulate a comprehensive approach to treatment.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mental health treatment, continually honing your skills and updating your therapeutic practices based on evidence.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation in compliance with HIPAA and ethical guidelines.

• Engage in team meetings and peer supervision sessions to foster a supportive work environment that encourages professional growth.

• Advocate for the rights of clients, working to de-stigmatize mental health issues within the wider community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and bipolar disorder. Our clients vary in age, background, and treatment history, requiring a flexible and empathetic approach to care. Through telehealth, we particularly emphasize outreach to underserved populations who otherwise may not have access to mental health services.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly in managing mood disorders, must be demonstrated by a solid post-licensure training background.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on cultivating trust with clients and promoting a safe therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience specializing in mood disorders, with direct experience in telehealth preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
