Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Consumer Electronics Independent Sales Representative – for US National Retail Accounts to represent FESCO (a mass market, consumer electronics manufacturer based in Brooklyn New York,

This position serves as a sales and business development partner, identifying promising products, developing relationships with retail buyers and category managers, presenting products for consideration, negotiating sales opportunities, and facilitating the process of bringing products to market through national retail channels.

The representative operates as an independent sales representative or manufacturer representative and earns commissions from FESCO for each successful new business sale / placement.

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturer Representation and Business Development

• Identify and establish relationships with national retail distribution channels.
\n
• Evaluate products for marketability, competitive positioning, pricing, and potential retail demand.
\n
• Advise on retail requirements, product positioning, pricing strategies, and go-to-market opportunities.
\n

National Retail Account Development

\n
• Develop and maintain relationships with buyers, category managers, merchandising executives, and purchasing decision-makers at major national retailers.
\n
• Present new products and product lines to retail buyers for consideration.
\n
• Identify opportunities for product placement, new item authorization, distribution expansion, and promotional programs.
\n
• Coordinate product presentations, samples, demonstrations, pricing proposals, and product information submissions.
\n
• Follow up on product reviews, buyer meetings, assortment decisions, and purchase order opportunities.
\n
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective retail accounts and product placement opportunities.
\n

Sales and Account Management

\n
• Work with FESCO and retail partners to negotiate pricing, margins, promotional programs, and other commercial terms, within authorized parameters.
\n
• Help FESCO understand retailer requirements for packaging, labeling, product documentation, certifications, logistics, inventory, and fulfillment.
\n
• Coordinate with FESCO teams on forecasts, inventory availability, launch timing, and retail marketing support.
\n
• Monitor sell-through performance, reorder opportunities, and opportunities to expand product distribution.
\n
• Maintain accurate records of buyer contacts, sales opportunities, negotiations, and account activity.
\n
• Provide FESCO with regular updates on retail opportunities, buyer feedback, and sales pipeline progress.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Experience in consumer electronics sales, manufacturer representation, retail account management, and business development.
\n
• Established relationships with national retail buyers and decision-makers is required.
\n
• Knowledge of major retail channels, including mass merchants, consumer electronics retailers, specialty retailers, grocery / supermarket channels and e-commerce retailers.
\n
• Understanding of retail merchandising, product assortment, pricing, distribution, and vendor onboarding processes.
\n
• Strong presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
\n
• Ability to identify commercially viable products and develop effective retail sales strategies.
\n
• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, organized, and capable of managing multiple manufacturer relationships.
\n
• Existing industry contacts and a proven track record of securing retail placements is required.
\n

• Compensation will be based on Commission on net-sales generated through represented retail accounts.
