Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) – Bridge Crest Post AcuteCompensation: $36–$40/hour (DOE)Bridge Crest Post Acute is seeking dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our care team. If you are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a supportive and team-driven environment, we’d love to meet you.Essential DutiesTreat residents as directed by the Occupational TherapistComplete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation in accordance with facility, governmental, and third-party payer requirementsMaintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control, safety, and equipment maintenance protocolsParticipate in Resident Care conferences and/or Rehabilitation meetings, as neededAssist nursing department with training of Restorative AidesCommunicates routinely with the supervising occupational therapist to ensure timely updates to physicians, nursing staff, the interdisciplinary team, residents, and families regarding progress, goals, and discharge planningProvides in-services on training programs for other staff in the facility as neededEducate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals, home exercise programs, maintenance programs, safety techniques, and fall prevention strategiesRecommend and facilitate the ordering of necessary durable medical equipment for residents to facilitate independence in ADLs; i.e., adaptive equipment, splints, assistive devices, elevated toilet seats, and grab barsMust maintain confidentiality of residents' information as well as company informationReport any problems with department equipment so that it is maintained in good working orderContribute to quality assurance, performance improvement initiatives, and facility rehabilitation program development as assignedAbility to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents/residents, families, staff and professional colleaguesQualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceAssociate Degree from an accredited COTA programProficient in computer skills such as inputting data into programs for Net Health and Point Click CareLanguage SkillsAbility to read technical proceduresAbility to read and comprehend policy and procedure manualAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers and familiesMathematical SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situationsReasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problemAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formCertificates, Licenses, and RegistrationsLicensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of WashingtonEmployee must meet continuing education requirements per state practicesMust maintain a license in good standing at all time with the state board.
