As the Cook, you are responsible for preparing fresh, high-quality meals for associates professionally and efficiently. This role supports daily operations by delivering consistent food quality, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.

Prepare and cook daily menu items according to established recipes and production schedules

Ensure food is prepared, held, and served in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards

Set up, stock, and maintain assigned kitchen workstations

Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper temperatures throughout service

Assist with receiving, labeling, storing, and rotating food products using FIFO practices

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep areas, equipment, and storage spaces

Support opening and closing kitchen procedures as assigned

Work collaboratively with cafeteria team members to meet daily service needs

Contribute to a positive, efficient, and professional work environment

Previous cooking or food preparation experience required; cafeteria, institutional, or commercial kitchen experience preferred

Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment

Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Strong attention to consistency, quality, and cleanliness

Dependable, punctual, and professional

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs as required

Salary: The hourly rate for this position is between $20 - $25. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
