Staff AccountantLone Star Corporation is searching for a full time Staff Accountant. Looking for a skilled and well-rounded accountant to ensure quality work. Must be confident in prioritizing tasks and working with little supervision, self-motivated and trustworthy. Role will report to our CFO. Duties & ResponsibilitiesProcess Accounts Payable invoices and vendor paymentsAssist with Accounts Receivable, including customer invoicing, payment application, and collections follow-upProcess payroll and maintain payroll-related recordsReconcile bank and credit card statementsMaintain and update accounting records and filesEnter and verify accounting data for accuracyAssist with monthly account reconciliationsMaintain vendor and customer records in the accounting systemAssist with sales tax documentation and reportingSupport the accounting team with administrative and clerical duties as neededPrepare reports and spreadsheets as requestedMaintain confidentiality of financial and employee information Skills & Qualifications 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP, AR, or payroll experience preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordStrong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience with accounting software is a plusTexas sales tax knowledge is a plusVista by Viewpoint experience is a plusProfessionalism, confidentiality, and integrity required Benefits Benefits include medical, vision and dental insurance, 401k retirement savings plan, company paid life insurance and paid time off.
