Head of U.S. Commercial Operations

Are you interested in leading and scaling the commercial operation in the U.S. for a groundbreaking piano practice application?

Clefer is the piano practice application built for serious music learners. Unlike gamified consumer apps, Clefer is positioned as the teacher-supported practice companion: it enriches the lesson experience between sessions, keeps students motivated, and gives teachers visibility into their students’ daily practice.

They seek an experienced Head of U.S. Commercial Operations to unify teacher community building, strategic partnerships, and marketing execution into one coherent US growth strategy, laying the operational foundation Clefer needs to scale from early traction to a self-sustaining U.S. business.

You’ll work across four connected areas of ownership:

Pillar 1 – Teacher Community & Events

• Represent Clefer at U.S. piano teacher events: MTNA national conferences, state-level meetings and regional workshops.
• Plan and co-organize Clefer-led events in partnership with MTNA chapters and content partners.
• Build and activate the Clefer Teacher Community platform: recruit early members, run the monthly webinar cadence, and coordinate Round Tables and Clefer Listens sessions.
• Grow the active U.S. teacher panel from 15 to 200-300 by Q4 2026.
• Support the Certified Clefer Teacher rollout: identify the first cohort and manage credentials and the recognition framework.

Pillar 2 – Strategic Partnerships

• Support partnership conversations with other senior leadership, owning day-to-day relationship management.
• Coordinate day-to-day relationships with MTNA, CAPMT, and state-level associations toward formal partnership agreements.
• Coordinate co-branded campaign logistics with Faber, Steinway, ABRSM/RCM, and composer Eric Christian as those partnerships activate.

Pillar 3 – Social Media & Influencer Activation

• Activate the micro-influencer teacher program: equip panel teachers with content kits, talking points, and branded materials.
• Support U.S.-market planning and execution.
• Provide U.S. cultural and community insight to sharpen channel strategy (Facebook for teachers; Instagram/TikTok/YouTube for students and parents).

Pillar 4 – Marketing Intelligence & Reporting

• Contribute U.S.-market inputs to the Clefer marketing dashboard: event attribution, teacher acquisition data, community engagement metrics.
• Flag cultural, competitive, and market signals from the U.S. piano education community to the leadership team.

What We’re Looking For

• U.S. K-12 education market experience: a strong understanding of the U.S. education market from a commercial standpoint, with prior experience selling or marketing into K-12 environments.
• Music education background: experience in music education specifically, or as a musician or music instructor yourself.
• Startup growth experience: a track record of helping grow a startup or early-stage organization, comfortable with ambiguity and building processes from scratch.
• B2B2C marketing fluency: a clear understanding of the B2B2C model: winning the trust of a professional channel (teachers) as the route to acquiring end-users (students). Experience in EdTech, music, or a comparable sector is a strong plus.
• Cross-cultural collaboration: comfortable serving as the key local representative of a company whose executives are based abroad; a proactive, self-directed communicator who keeps remote leadership informed without needing to be managed closely.
