Staff Scientist (Time-Limited) - Neurosurgery

Position Summary Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week. Our laboratory focuses on developing innovative computational tools and methods, utilizing advanced single-cell (epi)genomic techniques to understand gene regulation in human diseases, particularly brain tumors and neuropsychiatric disorders. Responsibilities Design research protocols and develop procedures for data collection, verification, and management. Assist in grant preparation, reporting, and other research-related administrative tasks. Perform complex statistical analyses, verify data accuracy, and provide recommendations based on findings. Document research topics, prepare interpretative reports, and submit manuscripts for publication or presentation. Identify and resolve software and computational issues, and suggest technical or procedural improvements. Conduct literature searches related to research projects. Perform other duties as assigned within the laboratory environment. Qualifications Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 3 years of laboratory operations experience. Strong analytical problem‑solving, communication, computer literacy, data analysis, and data interpretation skills. Preferred: Ph.D. in a related discipline.
