Ensure coordination of the department efforts to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like safety, OEE, labor efficiency, quality, schedule attainment, overtime, scrap, material usage variance and strongly supports the success of new product launches and productivity projects and overall Operations objectives./ppEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliProvide leadership to supervisors to achieve all goals in Safety, OEE, Labor Efficiency, Quality, Schedule Attainment, Overtime, Scrap and Material Usage Variance/liliDefine and drive standardized work (SOPs) throughout the Blow Molding department./liliImplement, maintain, and always enforce 5S discipline throughout the plant/liliPlan, direct and coordinate the operations of all Blow Molding departments/liliCoordinate production at both plants in Katy facilities./liliDevelop methods and procedures for manufacturing and production to meet customer demand and minimize cost impact/liliEnsure workforce resources are adequate to meet the organizations production schedule and efficiency/liliEvaluate production and determine ways to improve efficiency of the production lines while ensuring the achievement of quality standards/liliEnsure that issues regarding new/existing products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner/liliTrain, develop, mentor and assist subordinates in all the departments that fall within the manufacturing or production process/liliMotivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met/liliAssign duties and coordinate activities of supervisors and/or employees engaged in production/liliDevelop and maintain discipline at the supervisory level to maintain and enforce all shop standards and company policies/liliEnsure that raw material is used effectively avoiding negative material usage variance/liliPartner with the New Product Development group in the coordination and success of any new launches in area of responsibility/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulpWhat do we offer?/polliMedical/liliDental/liliVision/liliLife Insurance/liliShort term Long-term disability/liliAccidental death insurance/liliSupplemental life insurance/liliCompany paid holidays/liliFlexible Spending Accounts/li/olpMinimum Requirements and Qualifications:/pulliEducation: Bachelors degree in engineering, Business Management or related field/liliExperience: Minimum of ten (7) years of production experience in Assembly (Blow Mold, Injection Mold helpful) in consumer goods plastics. Five (5) years supervisory experience./liliExperience with directly managing budgets/liliEnglish language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English/liliExperience in Lean Manufacturing and productivity projects/liliMath skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide/liliPhysical Demands: Able to walk quickly and climb stairs./liliAble to manipulate tools with both hands and stand for long periods./liliComputer Skills: Proficient in MS Office suite/liliStrong decision making and leadership experience and skills including ability to lead and work well with people from diverse backgrounds/liliAble to make presentations to department and key company management/liliAble to work long hours under deadline pressure/li/ulpTo be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies characteristics:/pulliExperience working under a documented and audited quality system/liliBilingual (English/Spanish)/li/ulpPhysical Demands Conditions (Applicable to Igloo Operators, Technicians, Leaders, and Other Roles in Manufacturing)/ppStanding Walking Roles may involve extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing and walking, including moving at a brisk pace and occasional stair climbing./ppPostural Requirements Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks./ppLifting Material Handling Operator-level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lb repeatedly throughout the shift. Technician-level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lb multiple times per day, including overhead lifts. Where possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used./ppFine Motor Skills Tool Use Use of both hands is required to operate tools, perform adjustments, and handle assembly materials with precision./ppVisual Requirements Sufficient visual acuity (e.g., 20/40 with or without correction) is necessary for tasks involving inspection and safe equipment operation./ppEnvironmental Conditions Work is performed in a production setting where seasonal temperatures may range from 100120F (with humidity) in summer to cooler conditions in winter. High noise levels are common; hearing protection is provided and required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task./ppAdditional Job Considerations These roles can be physically demanding, involving repetitive motions and long hours.
