Contact Yeni Craig Job Summary ACUREN is currently recruiting for a QA/QC position to support our operations in Austin, Texas. The Quality Assurance and Quality Control professional reviews all field reports from technicians prior to submission to clients. They use superior analytical and critical thinking skills to ensure that all client Pipeline Integrity Procedures have been adhered to and that all client‑specific reporting requirements have been met prior to final report submission. Responsibilities Review field reports from technicians before client submission. Ensure compliance with client Pipeline Integrity Procedures. Verify that client‑specific reporting requirements are met. Skills and Abilities Knowledge of NDT industry methods (MT, PT, UT). Knowledge of client‑specific reporting needs. Knowledge of inline inspection data (tool data that runs through pipelines) – a plus. Coating and cathodic protection knowledge – a plus. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with industry software such as Creaform Pipecheck. Strong technical writing skills. Effective verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail to identify numerical and visual anomalies. Education The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality review capacity. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Working Conditions Extreme cold and extreme heat environmental conditions, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, scaffolding, high places above 100 feet, exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. Adaptable to changing schedules with willingness to travel regularly, including last‑minute and overnight travel. Must be willing to do overtime. Physical Job Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment. Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, and crouch as needed. Sufficient balance and mobility to navigate various surfaces and elevations. Sufficient hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating equipment and handling tools. Ability to reach overhead and at various body heights. Adequate vision (with or without correction) for detailed work. Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to detect audible equipment indicators or alarms.
