High Point Residence Jerseyville Jerseyville, IL Part-Time Cook (30 Hours/Week) Mostly daytime hours; some evenings may be required, every other weekend availability needed. About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at High Point Residence in Jerseyville. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents while meeting their dietary requirements and preferences. You will work closely with the dietary team to plan menus, maintain kitchen operations, and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare or senior living Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working with seniors or individuals with special dietary needs Background in menu planning and inventory management Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals for residents, ensuring quality, nutrition, and dietary compliance. Collaborate with the dietary team on menu planning and meal preparation schedules. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Ensure proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices. Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed. Skills Strong cooking skills and attention to detail.
