Job Description

Hire Up Staffing is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk / Return Goods Coordinator for a great opportunity in San Diego, CA!


This position is responsible for managing returned merchandise from receipt through final disposition while maintaining accurate inventory records and coordinating with customers, vendors, sales, and warehouse teams.

Position Details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: 5:00 AM-1:30 PM
• Location: San Diego, CA
• Pay: $19-$21/hr. depends on experience

What You'll Do

• Manage the end-to-end process for returned merchandise.
• Inspect returned and damaged goods and determine appropriate disposition.
• Log returns and update inventory systems accurately.
• Process chargebacks, credits, and other financial adjustments.
• Work with Customer Service, Sales, and Warehouse teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Put returned merchandise away in the correct locations.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and stock counts.
• Move and organize merchandise using pallet jacks and scanners.
• Communicate with customers regarding their returns.
• Communicate with vendors to request RMAs and follow up on pending credits.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• Electrical, industrial, or distribution experience preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma/GED or 2-4 years of related experience/training.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse setting
