Plant Manager

Overview A rapidly growing leader in the construction materials industry is seeking an experienced Dragline Plant / Mine Manager to oversee a Sand & Gravel surface mining operation in Southwest Florida. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone with strong operational expertise across aggregates, quarrying, mining, and plant operations who is looking to play a key role in both day-to-day operations and an active greenfield development project. Responsibilities Lead all aspects of quarry and plant operations including safety, production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and environmental compliance. Drive operational performance, efficiency, and profitability across the site. Manage maintenance planning and equipment reliability programs to minimize downtime. Oversee budgeting, cost control, staffing, and operational planning. Develop and mentor supervisors, operators, and technical teams. Act as the primary point of contact for contractors, vendors, regulatory bodies, and local stakeholders. Lead on-site greenfield quarry and plant development projects, coordinating with engineering and construction teams. About the Operation Sand & Rock surface mine utilizing dragline mining techniques. Approximately 500K tons annual sales volume. Active greenfield expansion and development project underway. What We’re Looking For 5–7+ years of experience within quarry, mining, or aggregate operations leadership. Strong knowledge of excavation, material processing, plant operations, dragline experience, and maintenance. Proven leadership experience managing operational teams and driving safety culture. Experience with budgeting, cost control, and process improvement initiatives. Familiarity with MSHA standards and environmental compliance. Bachelor’s degree preferred, though equivalent industry experience will also be considered. What’s on Offer Company vehicle, laptop, phone, and expenses.
