Production Associate

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Schedule: Monday - Thursday | 10-Hour Shifts (3-Day Weekends- Friday required only as needed)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Control Associate to join a growing manufacturing team in Jacksonville. This position is responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable using precision measuring tools, and able to read engineering drawings or blueprints . This is a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing or quality inspection experience who wants to build their skills in a hands-on production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform first article, incoming, in-process, and final inspections with minimal supervision.
• Inspect supplier materials, components, hardware, and incoming products for quality and specification compliance.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using calipers, micrometers, Pi tapes, angle gauges, height gauges, and other measuring tools .
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications .
• Conduct routine and as-needed inspections throughout manufacturing areas.
• Accurately document inspection results, measurements, quality findings, and other required data.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming materials and quality issues .
• Ensure measurement and inspection equipment is properly calibrated and current.
• Communicate quality concerns, equipment issues, and process deviations to appropriate team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Provide guidance or training to team members when needed.
• Support quality, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required ; Associate degree preferred.
• 1-2+ years of quality control, quality inspection, manufacturing, or related experience required.
• Manufacturing experience, particularly in an ISO environment , is a plus.
• Hands-on experience using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, Pi tapes, angle gauges, or height gauges .
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications .
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic math skills with the ability to perform measurements and calculations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365 , including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• ERP experience is preferred.
• Experience working in a small, growing, or high-volume manufacturing environment is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods while working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and work around industrial equipment and production lines.
• Ability to climb, stoop, bend, and work at waist level.
• Ability to occasionally use ladders or work at elevated heights.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. regularly .
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, or respiratory protection when required.
• Must have sufficient visual, auditory, depth perception, peripheral vision, mobility, and manual dexterity to safely perform inspection duties.
