Sr. .NET Developer

- Senior .NET Specialist position in the IT division of the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH)
- Local to Indianapolis
- Responsible for maintaining .NET applications developed in VB.net, C# with Oracle and SQL server databases
- Analyzes software requirements, designs, develops, tests and implements new systems or enhancements to existing applications
- Uses Microsoft .NET Framework, a supported MVC framework and C# programming language for application development
- Full-stack development experience with .Net technologies
- Utilizes object-oriented techniques and best practices for analysis, design, development, unit testing and deployment
- Converts existing applications to .NET Framework with additional security features
- Documents all deliverables, performs system unit testing and validates procedures
- Works with program area team on technical issues including system design and testing
- Recommends and plans the development and implementation of new systems or modifications of existing systems
- Writes technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements
- Works with project manager to maintain project plan and meet project milestones
- Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment
- Modifies existing applications due to changes in technology, security, state or federal laws and national standards
- Contributes to creating responsive websites for use on desktop, tablet, and mobile platforms
- Experience in React. Js and Node. Js is welcome
- Understanding of HTML5, AngularJS, React, Node.js, and Mongo to convert wireframes and PSD designs into workable web apps
- Experience with JavaScript object models and UI element binding
- Experience using asynchronous RESTful services (JSON)
- Creates RESTful services with Node.js
- Carries out other responsibilities as assigned.
