What You'll Do

• Conduct pre-operative evaluations for surgical patients across various specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Urology.
• Review medical histories, physicals, and relevant patient data.
• Coordinate with surgical and anesthesia teams to optimize patient care.
• Identify necessary referrals and document clinical findings accurately.
• Support outpatient, pre-operative assessments without procedural responsibilities.
• Utilize existing hospital protocols and electronic health records (Epic).

What You Need

Required:

• Active NY license
• AHA or RQI certification
• BLS certification
• Epic EHR experience
• Board Certification as an APP
• Prior APP experience in pre-anesthesia or outpatient settings
• Ability to review charts, collect data, and coordinate care effectively

Preferred:

• Experience with surgical pre-operative assessments in ambulatory settings
