Field Service Technician - Reading, PA OR Hammond, LA

Job Overview The Field Service Technician position will perform microprocessor-based system start-ups and system troubleshooting at customers' facilities. Technicians in this position will be required to consistently demonstrate the ability to accept and complete assignments involving microprocessor-based systems and their peripherals. A Day In The Life Perform microprocessor-based system start-ups at domestic and international customer locations. Assist senior technical personnel in proving system/station configurations on in-house systems. Provide technical support to customers, sales representatives, and Service Technicians as required to maintain the highest possible level of customer support and satisfaction. Provide emergency (24-hour) technical support to customers and Service Technicians in their effort to troubleshoot system problems, traveling to the customer's site if necessary. Assist in performing microprocessor-based system upgrades and develop a working knowledge of all current microprocessor system feature software releases. Become proficient in the use of the SST, Console, SP2 & E3 Configurators. Become proficient in system troubleshooting. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Help You Thrive In This Role? High school diploma or equivalent Associate degree in electronics or equivalent work/military experience Ability to read color code charts and work in an industrial environment (can not be color blind) Ability to lift 35 lbs. Valid driver's license and excellent driving record Excellent communication skills Completion of required skill elements Six (6) months previous experience as a Service Technician I Ability to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally Must be able to satisfy international visa requirements Ability to obtain BOSIET Certification & TWIC Credentials
