Culinary Manager - Full Time

Culinary Manager Job Summary: This position is responsible for supervising, preparing and serving the daily meals to the residents and guests at a senior living community. Responsibilities: Oversee daily food production and kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of safety, sanitation, and quality. Plan menus, order supplies, track expenses, and maintain compliance with food safety regulations. Hire, train, schedule, and supervise food service staff; ensure staff follow hygiene and safety practices. Monitor meal prep, portion control, presentation, and service to meet the nutritional needs of older adults. Maintain organized storage, accurate labeling, and proper food handling procedures. Ensure cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas; perform regular equipment checks and coordinate repairs. Support special events and respond to resident feedback with professionalism and care. Maintain records, meet regulatory standards, and support the mission of Cornerstone Management. Qualifications: High school education/GED. Previous work experience with food service, production and cooking. Previous management experience. Current Certified Food Manager certificate Ability to understand and communicate using food service vocabulary. Be punctual, with a good attendance record. Be mature and emotionally stable using calm and kind tone of voice, remaining calm in difficult or unusual circumstances. Be able to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently, staying on task. Be flexible and adaptable to changing situations. Be compassionate and work with tact and ethical awareness. Work as a team member with other food service personnel, site employees and Assisted living Director Demonstrate good interpersonal skills. A service-oriented mindset.
