Payroll Administrator

Payroll AdministratorOur client specializing in mechanical construction and contracting services is looking for a payroll administrator to bring on for a 5-month project. This position will be responsible for all payroll processing, accurate and timely calculation, tax computations and more. You will be the main support to the accounting department and serve as a liaison between payroll functions and HR. Responsibilities include:Processing payroll which includes maintenance and reporting of time and attendance records, correct calculation of pay rates, employee changes, deductions, addons, and paid time off.Preparation of and verification of documentation required in connection with all union benefits issuesAssist in the development of all payroll procedures by suggesting improvements or changes to achieve much greater efficiencyPerform other duties requested with the Accounting DepartmentWork closely with Accounting Supervisor and CFO to develop and stay consistent with necessary procedures and internal controls related to payroll accountingEnsure compliance with state and federal laws and internal policies and proceduresQualifications:Associates degree or other higher training in the field of accounting3 – 5 years payroll experienceExcellent mathematical skills with high degree of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
